Savoury waffles with Paté de Tofu

Ingredients

  • 350 g LUNTER Natural Tofu
  • 30 ml cornstarch
  • spray oil
  • 150 g Paté de Tofu Cranberries
  • 2 tbsp canned cranberries
  • 1 fig, caramelized

Instructions

Drain the tofu and cut into 4 square slices.

Add the cornstarch to a large bowl. Take each tofu slice and coat it in cornstarch, then shake off the excess.

Preheat your waffle maker. Before adding the tofu to the waffle iron, spray each slice generously with oil so that there are no dry spots. Lightly spray the iron with more spray oil, then arrange the tofu slices in a single layer. Let the tofu cook, checking it every 5 minutes until it is lightly golden. This will take anywhere from 10 to 20 minutes.

Spread Paté de Tofu evenly on each slice.

Garnish with cranberries and caramelized fig and serve.
