Ingredients
- 1 LUNTER Smoked Tofu
- shallot
- tomato
- basil
- balsamic vinegar
- iceberg lettuce
- plant-based mayonnaise
- fried onion
- lemon juice
- salt
- pepper
- olive oil

Instructions
Finely chopped onion is sautéed in a pan until golden. Then, we add LUNTER Smoked Tofu, crumble it, and cook it in the pan for 2 minutes.
Next, we add barbecue sauce, stir, and continue cooking while stirring constantly for another 3 to 4 minutes.
We slice the prepared hot dog bun or roll about halfway through—enough to open it nicely without separating the halves completely.
First, spread vegan mayonnaise on the inside, then layer with iceberg lettuce leaves. Place the sautéed tofu on top, followed by 2–3 slices of tomato. Garnish with fresh basil leaves.
Finally, sprinkle with fried onion on the plate, or optionally, prepare some caramelized onion instead.
